Bialetti Moka Pot
The Bialetti Moka Pot is an iconic coffee maker celebrated for its simplicity and the rich, flavorful espresso it brews on any stovetop. With its enduring craftsmanship and distinctive octagonal design, the Moka Pot offers a timeless and satisfying coffee experience, cherished by coffee lovers worldwide.
Grind Your Coffee: Grind your favorite 3 African Sisters coffee beans to a medium-fine consistency, slightly coarser than espresso.
Fill the Bottom Chamber: Fill the bottom chamber of the Moka Express with water up to the valve. It's preferable to use hot water to reduce the time the coffee sits on the stove, but cold water works as well.
Prepare the Coffee Basket: Place your ground coffee in the filter basket, leveling it off without tamping it down. Ensure the basket is filled but not densely packed.
Assemble the Moka Express: Put the filter basket filled with coffee grounds into the bottom chamber containing water. Screw on the top part securely, avoiding using the plastic handle for leverage.
Heat on the Stove: Place the assembled Moka Express on the stove over medium heat.
Watch and Listen: Keep an eye (or ear) out for the coffee to start coming out. You can lift the top slightly to check.
Remove from Heat: Once the coffee starts turning light in color or you hear gurgling sounds, immediately remove the Moka Express from the heat. It's crucial to catch it before the coffee overheats.
Pour and Enjoy: Pour the freshly brewed 3 African Sisters coffee immediately into your cup and savor the rich flavor!
